MEET THE STAFF

San Juan Gardens is the work home of a handful of plant lovers who enjoy spending their days keeping the plants healthy, and the customers happy! A grow team of women who are wise in the ways of care and nurture spend the months between late winter and early summer growing over 98% of our perennials and 90% of our annuals. When the growing season is over, the staff tends to the plants to keep them thriving throughout the retail season, and when the time comes, they prepare the plants for the winter months.

From April through October, the staff dedicates their time to finding homes for the plants and giving customers the advice and guidance they need. With years of experience, all our staff is knowledgeable and more than happy to assist you with all your outdoor plant needs!

MEET THE CATS

We are the proud home of three nursery cats! All of these cats started their lives as feral kittens, and then were adopting by the caring owners of the gardens.

Our "SLOW: CAT CROSSING" signs are not just up for fun. Please heed these signs as we have multiple cats who call our gardens home.

BANDIT

Bandit prowls the grounds of San Juan Gardens like he owns the place. He is the king of the castle here. This feisty feline has lived here at San Juan Gardens for almost 10 years. He loves sleeping in the annual greenhouse and in any planter that he sees fit.

LUNA

Luna is the fearless female feline at the nursery. She is vigilant and stealthy, though she loves following the staff around while they work. She is our grasshopper huntress.

PONCHO

Poncho is our little lover boy. He would make a great lap cat. So if you ever find yourself sitting down at the gardens, you might end up with a furry lap warmer.
